Yihang Ho

Hello! My name is Yihang. Currently, I am a software engineer at Wise (formerly TransferWise) focusing on growing our presence in China. In the past, I worked at Meta/Facebook and freelanced for several companies. Beyond just writing code, I am passionate about leveling up other engineers that I work with. I do so mostly by mentorship and coaching, focusing on either career growth or technical skills improvements.

I also care a lot about the products that we build. I have been a key influencer for the product strategy and product experience for most of the projects I worked on.

I have professional experience working with the JVM (i.e., Java, Spring, Kotlin, and friends) and JavaScript/TypeScript (including React and NodeJS). My personal interest in the field is wide-ranging – I am excited about the BEAM/Erlang ecosystem and the homelab/home server/self-hosting scene.
